International paragliding festival Flypa 2008

Los Realejos celebrates yet another year of the paragliding festival Flypa, which takes place from April 30 until May 4. A great array of activities including concerts and exhibitions take place during the 5 day event; Any one interested will be able to take tandem paragliding flights with professional pilots; to do so you must register at the stand of the organisation team at the El Socorro beach; or if that is too much you can also opt for paramotor flights at the Puerto de la Cruz’s quay esplanade. This service will be available from May 1-4 from 10:00 to 18:30 for the price of 50 euros. This is a unique opportunity for people who have always wanted to fly! The esplanade at Socorro beach will become an array of blow-up castles, tattoo workshops, games and much more for the younger generation. The Spanish Air Force will hold an exhibition every day at 13:00, as well as many other acrobatic paramotor, base jump and paragliding shows by the best pilots in the world, every day from May 1-4 at midday and at 17:00 (expect for May 3). The music concerts this year include the Cuban group Orishas on May 2 at 21:00, at the Polideportivo San Agustin (Los Realejos).
